California, the land of sunshine, surf, high taxes, and $7.00 gasoline. The world would have a person believing that this is the worst place in the world. It is true, we have extreme everything. California is also the 5th largest sub economy in the world. What does that mean? Resources, and a lot of them.

While I was lying in bed thinking and planning my next day’s ride, the picture of Sean and Dogzilla donating to the Shoshone County Humane Society in Kellogg, Idaho popped into my head. What struck me most was that they don't even have an office to work out of. When I see the pictures of the OC Animal Care building, you will understand the vast differences in our community. I do encourage you to look them up on the internet.

Once on the road, I took a couple of pictures of our roughly 25 mile ride. Now I'm not a writer or a reporter. This was an impromptu and spontaneous introduction. Like always, once the staff visited the Pedals4Paws website and watched a video of the Pedals4Paws mission, they were hooked. I made some connections, watched an adoption, then the conversation took a turn. The representative that I was meeting with introduced me to their voluntary support positions. I saw a facility that has great resources for Pedals4Paws. and they saw a big ole heart and a strong back to load dog food for the community outreach program. I know, lift with your knees not your back.

Hopefully the future will bring these 2 entities together and we can provide for more dogs in the future!
